What do you think about stem cells?
Help me get to the bottom of something...
The number of options we have for gathering information today are unprecedented.
They’re also incredibly biased.
A friend of mine recently approached me and asked if I would be willing to help him launch a stem-cell clinic here in Naples.
I’ve been impressed by the promise of stem cells therapies, but I’ve also got a few concerns about them.
What kind of stem cells are being used? What sorts of stem cells should we avoid or seek out?
Are they being collected ethically? Are patients being exploited by the system, or does collecting stem cells from, say, the umbilical cord, have a negative impact on patients (baby or mother)?
How long do the results of stem cell therapy typically last? How worthwhile is it in the final analysis?
Are there better ways to remedy chronic health issues than stem cells, or do stem cells offer unique benefits that we can’t get any other way?
To answer questions like these, I used to just start typing my questions into Google.
Over the last four years, it has become increasingly apparent to me that the Google-game is rigged. Many of the best therapies for various problems would never show up on Google.
For example, if you Google, “allergy treatments,” barely anything I would use in my practice actually comes up in the top search results.
This is just one example of how the narrative is being carefully crafted to protect special interests.
I will keep looking for answers to the above questions on various search engines, plus new AI-search options like Perplexity and Claude.ai, but I’m curious what you think.

I’ve also wondered about sourcing and, if people have been vaxxed, how/if that would impact the quality and safety of the stem cells?
